Idaho Wedding Reception

We had a small open house on Sep. 29th in my hometown of Shelley, Idaho. It turned out just how I imagined thanks to my incredibly creative sister, Natalie. I probably left too much for her to do, and I know it probably stressed her out, but I trusted her 100% in choosing everything and because I felt like crap due to probably stressing too much. :)

We got most of our decor, like picture frames, vases, and other random gold things, from second hand shops. It's best to start shopping months in advance, so you can start collecting all the great things that come in.

As for refreshments, we just did s'mores with 2 burners at each table, and plain or chocolate milk. Each milk bottle had the initial R, which we had on our invites and bridesmaids invites. They were custom made by my sister who owns a wall graphics company called Byrdie Graphics. She custom made all my signs, labels, and wedding invites. She is seriously the best!!! (and affordable)

Thanks again to all of our family and friends who made it such a great night! It's something we will never forget!

Back at it

It's been months since I've blogged, and I have no excuses besides planning a wedding, which my sister did most of the planning and work. It's crazy how much a chronic illness can slow you down and give you zero motivation. BUT, I do want to get back into it and give an inside look at my wedding, my life, and trying to overcome Lyme Disease.

I was actually doing much better these past 6 months, but with the wedding sneaking up so quickly, I have taken about 10 steps back. Not sure if I am much more stressed than I realize, or just terrible timing. I get a lot of comments like, "you don't look sick at all!!" Which I am glad I don't to outsiders, but I sure feel like I look sick. The day of my bridals was one of those days where I stayed in bed in my pajamas all day until the last minute. But someway, somehow, I got up and out the door and pretended to feel "normal."

My talented friend, Suzy Holman, took them and she did SUCH a great job. She literally spent hours with us and made the whole process so much fun. So for now, I will share my bridals and I will be back soon with pictures of my Idaho reception, day of wedding, and Utah reception.

Next time I post, I'll be a married woman! ;)
